SPRILA Subsidy: How to Make Charging Infrastructure Affordable for Businesses

Are you an e-mobility installer involved in setting up charging stations for businesses? Then the SPRILA (Private Charging Infrastructure Subsidy for Businesses) scheme is an opportunity to support your customers financially with the installation of charging points and stations on private premises. The subsidy is available from 25 March 2025 to 19 December 2025 and includes several important updates compared to last year.
What’s new in 2025?
This year, businesses can also apply for a subsidy for dual charging stations, increasing charging capacity per location. Additionally, charging stations with an integrated battery are now eligible, provided the C-rate does not exceed 0.25. Please note: the subsidy amount per charging station has been reduced, with a maximum of 20% for large companies and 40% for SMEs. The minimum application amount is €2,500, meaning an SME needs approximately four charging points and a large company at least seven.
Subsidy Conditions
The SPRILA subsidy is exclusively for businesses and applies only to charging stations installed on private or leased property. The infrastructure may not be registered as public for two years, although limited public access is allowed — for example, with a towing policy outside office hours.
Subsidy for a Battery? Yes, It’s Possible!
If the battery is primarily used for charging infrastructure and the required grid capacity of the charging stations exceeds 50% of the available power, it qualifies for the subsidy. The total application for battery and charging infrastructure must be at least €25,000. Additionally, the battery must be registered after installation via energieleveren.nl or with the grid operator.
