What has changed in the plug connections of the GoodWe LX-D batteries?

GoodWe has recently updated the plug connections of the LX-D batteries. The new connectors ensure a safer installation by reducing the risk of incorrect connections. The connections between the battery units themselves and to the base or wall accessories have been modified. As a result, some new batteries or accessories are no longer 1-to-1 compatible with older versions.

Important when combining old and new

There are two situations where you need to pay attention:

  • New D5 battery with an existing base or hang/wall mount: use the B/H-D5NEW connector.
  • Existing battery combined with a new base, hang (wall), or new D5 battery: use the D5-B/H/D5NEW connector.

New product codes (with a ‘2’ at the end)

To avoid confusion, three new item numbers have been introduced. These have a ‘2’ added to the Libra code. We do this for two reasons:

  • Mixing old and new products requires additional adapter cables or tools.
  • There are 32 possible battery combinations. Switching all at once keeps things clear.

What if you need to combine old and new products?

Ideally, always supply sets from the same series. That can be done by ordering products separately. Is that not possible? Then you’ll find the required extra components below:
