The Tesla Powerwall 3 Expansion Pack is an additional battery module designed to increase the storage capacity of an existing Powerwall 3 system. It offers a cost-effective way to store more energy without needing a full second Powerwall unit with an integrated inverter.

Key features

• Additional capacity: Each expansion unit adds 13.5 kWh of usable energy storage, the same capacity as the main unit.
• Scalability: You can connect up to three expansion packs to a single Powerwall 3, bringing total storage capacity up to 54 kWh.
• No extra inverter: The expansion packs are DC-coupled and use the inverter and control system of the main unit. This makes them more affordable and easier to install than a full additional Powerwall.
• Flexible installation: Expansion units can be wall-mounted next to the main unit or stacked on the floor (behind the main unit).
• Seamless integration: The entire system is managed via the Tesla app and comes with the same standard 10-year warranty as the Powerwall 3.

The expansion packs are only compatible with the Powerwall 3 and cannot be used with the Powerwall 2 or third-party batteries. See the storage folder for additional components required to connect this to your Powerwall 3.
