Laadpaaltotaal has been choosing Wallbox charging stations for three years. Why? “Simple, clear and a great design!”, says Ruben
How did Laadpaaltotaal start?
“We started three years ago from an idea of my childhood friend Nick. He’s an electrician, owned an electric car and thought: I need a charging station. He bought a white Wallbox Pulsar Plus and decided to install it himself. It worked out well and he saw a growing market opportunity, so he wanted to pursue it further. Installation comes naturally to him, but sales and commercial activities are not really his thing. That’s how Nick approached me and we decided to join forces.”
How did you secure your first installations?
“By visiting local car dealerships! They were selling electric vehicles but at the time had limited knowledge about EV charging stations, which created an opportunity for us. We were able to complement each other and offer a complete EV charging solution to their customers. That was a strong starting point for our business. We still work with these car dealers today.”
Why do you prefer working with Wallbox chargers?
“We enjoy installing Wallbox chargers: they are simple and straightforward, just like the app interface. More and more customers want to charge their EV directly from their solar panels, and that is possible with Wallbox Eco Smart. We also appreciate the sleek design of the chargers, and we receive the same feedback from our customers.”

How does the collaboration between Laadpaaltotaal, Wallbox and Libra Energy work?
“We have been purchasing all our chargers from Libra Energy from the very beginning, mainly because we have excellent contact with our account manager Marco. Libra Energy is a reliable wholesaler with strong availability and accessibility, which is very important to us.
Because of our successful three-year partnership with both Wallbox and Libra Energy, Nick and I were recently invited by Wallbox for a fully organized trip to Barcelona. We toured their large production facility and headquarters, received updates on the latest developments and enjoyed some time together in the city. It was both educational and a great appreciation of our collaboration.”
What is the most popular Wallbox charger among your customers?
“It used to be the Wallbox Pulsar Plus, and now it’s the Wallbox Pulsar Max. A charger with a fixed cable mounted neatly on the wall as a complete set. No hassle with taking the cable in and out of the car. The Pulsar Max also looks sleek, especially with the new cable holder with integrated plug: the Cable Dock.”
Where do you stand today and what are your future ambitions?
“We now have a team of five and operate mainly in North Holland and Flevoland. We currently complete around fifteen installations per week, and that number is still growing. Despite this growth, we want to continue focusing on customers in our region, where we can maintain close and personal contact.
We also notice that more and more customers come to us through word of mouth. They see our installations at neighbors’ or friends’ homes and contact us directly. That’s incredibly rewarding and very positive for our business.”
