BCRG quality declarations for solar modules

Why do I need a BCRG quality declaration?

For many new build and renovation projects, a BCRG quality declaration is required to correctly include solar modules in the BENG calculation (Nearly Zero Energy Buildings). This declaration allows the performance of the solar modules to be incorporated into the building's energy performance calculation.

Where can I find the BCRG quality declaration for my solar modules?

For most solar modules supplied by Libra Energy, you can use the Libra Energy BCRG declaration:

👉 BCRG declaration, Libra EnergyOpens in a new tab

Some manufacturers register their solar modules directly with the BCRG. In those cases, the manufacturer specific declaration can be used:

👉 BCRG declaration, JA SolarOpens in a new tab

👉 BCRG declaration, DMEGCOpens in a new tab

Please note: Not every manufacturer has its own BCRG registration. For example, Aiko currently does not have its own BCRG declaration. For Aiko modules, you can use the Libra Energy declaration.

Why can't I find the webshop article number?

The BCRG database uses the manufacturer's article numbers. These may differ from the article numbers used by Libra Energy in its webshop. As a result, a solar module may be registered in the BCRG database but not be found when searching with the Libra Energy article number.

How do I find the correct declaration?

We recommend searching by:

  • Manufacturer name
  • Manufacturer article number
  • Module type designation
  • Power rating (Wp)

The manufacturer's article number can be found on the product page of the relevant module in the Libra Energy webshop.

I can't find the correct declaration. What should I do?

If you cannot find the correct module in either the Libra Energy declaration or a manufacturer specific declaration, please contact Libra Energy. We will be happy to help you find the correct BCRG quality declaration for your project.

Tip: We recommend searching the BCRG database using the manufacturer's article number. Since the BCRG uses the manufacturer's coding, this usually provides faster and more accurate results than searching with the Libra Energy article number.
