The new GoodWe ESA Series has been developed for households looking to make better use of their solar energy and prepare for a future shaped by dynamic energy tariffs, electrification, and home energy storage. This All-in-One solution combines a hybrid inverter, battery storage, battery charger, and integrated backup function in one compact system. The series is available with inverter capacities ranging from 3 to 29,99 kW and storage capacities from 5 to 48 kWh. Thanks to its modular design, the system can easily be expanded as the end user's energy demand grows.
Scalable, flexible, and easy to install
One of the ESA Series' greatest advantages is its flexibility. Installers can choose from twelve different inverter capacities and combine them with up to six battery modules of 5 or 8 kWh. This makes it possible to create a suitable configuration for virtually any residential application. If additional storage is required at a later stage, extra battery modules can simply be added.
The installation process has also been designed with ease of use in mind. Thanks to the pre-wired modular design and integrated components, the ESA Series is quick and straightforward to install. This reduces installation time and lowers labour costs. The robust aluminium enclosure with an IP66 protection rating allows for both indoor and outdoor installation. In addition, the modern design ensures that the system integrates neatly into a wide range of residential installations.
Smart energy management and maximum energy utilisation
The ESA Series helps households maximise the use of their own solar energy and reduce energy costs. Thanks to smart monitoring and load control, devices such as heat pumps and water heaters can be automatically managed based on the availability of solar energy. This increases self-consumption and ensures that generated energy is used more efficiently.
Combined with a charge and discharge power of 5kW for the 5kWh battery and 8kW for the 8kWh battery, the system delivers powerful performance for both daily energy storage and applications with higher power demands. In addition, the inverter supports 200% PV oversizing, enabling more solar energy to be utilised even under less favourable weather conditions. Furthermore, during periods of peak solar irradiance, all of this energy can be used to charge the battery at 100% capacity while simultaneously delivering up to 100% of the inverter's rated output to the grid.
Safety and reliability at its core
Safety plays a central role in the ESA Series. The system features six layers of protection, ranging from cell-level protection to complete system security. In addition, the solution is equipped with aerosol-based fire protection and AI-driven AFCI 3.0 technology to detect and prevent arc faults.
In the event of a power outage, the integrated backup function switches to emergency power in just 4 milliseconds, ensuring that essential appliances remain operational.
