BYD LV Battery Management Unit

BYD’s LVS Battery Management Unit (BMU) is an essential component of all low voltage BYD Battery Box Premium systems. The BMU manages the communication between the LVS battery and the inverter. The BMU is equipped with a WLAN interface as standard and is compatible with both single-phase and three-phase inverters.

The battery status can be accurately monitored as long as there is a sound connection between the battery system and the inverter (LED on the BMU burns white). If the LED on the BMU flashes blue, this may indicate faulty communication between the battery and the inverter. To switch off the battery system completely, press and hold the LED button on the BMU for 5 seconds.
