Earn money with your charging station thanks to ERE certificates

With ERE certificates (Emission Reduction Units), you receive a compensation for every kWh you charge your electric vehicle at home or at your own charging station. This scheme has been introduced to reward CO₂ reduction and applies from 1 January 2026 to both private individuals and businesses with a MID-certified charging station in the Netherlands.

How does it work?

Your charging station generates one ERE certificate for every kWh charged, which you can register and sell. The market price is approximately €0.10 per kWh.

What can you earn per year?

  • An average EV driver charges around 3,000 to 4,000 kWh per year
  • This translates to approximately €300 to €400 per year in ERE revenue
  • If you drive more (e.g. more than 5,000 kWh), this can increase to €500+ per year

Who is this interesting for?

  • Private individuals with their own charging station
  • Companies with charging points
  • Anyone charging electrically with a MID-certified charger

Zaptec Go

The Zaptec Go allows you to charge your electric vehicle sustainably, whenever it suits you. It's perfect for home use and no larger than a tablet, making it a space-saving solution. The Zaptec Go is compatible with all electric vehicles and homes, and automatically adjusts its maximum charging power to your vehicle’s capacity. Thanks to its smart design, you can install up to three Zaptec Go chargers at home, and charge up to 10 times faster than with a standard socket.

In addition, the Zaptec Go meets the highest safety standards. It features a built-in Type B residual current device that cuts the power in case of a grounding fault in the vehicle or charging cable. It performs calibrations and self-tests before each charging session and is equipped with multiple internal temperature sensors. The Zaptec Go is always online via Wi-Fi or 4G LTE-M and stays up to date with the latest features and free updates through its dedicated cloud platform, the Zaptec Portal.

Zaptec Pro

The Zaptec Pro is the ideal charger for large parking areas, homeowners' associations, businesses and apartment buildings. This smart and efficient charging station features a self-closing cover for a clean finish and a 4G upgrade, ensuring seamless communication between charging points. The Zaptec Pro is also future-proof, supporting Plug & Charge (ISO 15118) for even faster charging and comes MID-certified.

The Zaptec Pro meets the highest safety standards. It features a built-in Type B residual current device that cuts power in case of a grounding fault in the vehicle or charging cable. It performs calibrations and self-tests before each charging session and is equipped with multiple internal temperature sensors.
